Help topics
What do you need help with?
Eight areas, covering the Calee Display, the Calee app, your calendars and your order.
-
Set up my Calee Display
Getting started, pairing with the Calee app, Wi-Fi and what to do when the display is not behaving.
- Work through the setup guide, which covers the display from unboxing to your first calendar.
- To pair, open the Calee app, go to Settings → Connect a display and scan the QR code shown on the display.
- Keep the display connected to a Wi-Fi network that has internet access.
- If it loses internet access, the display says Connect to Wi-Fi to continue. Use Open Wi-Fi on the display to reconnect, or to choose a different network.
- If the display is blank, frozen or will not finish setup, switch it off at the power point, wait a few seconds and switch it back on.
- If that does not fix it, or the display looks physically damaged, contact Calee Support.
-
Calendars & syncing
Connecting the calendars you already use, Calee’s own calendars, and events that are missing or out of date.
- Google Calendar connects by signing in to Google from the Calee app and choosing which calendars to bring in.
- Outlook and Microsoft 365 connect by sharing your calendar to the Calee sharing address the app gives you.
- Apple and iCloud connect by sharing the calendar from Apple and adding the resulting calendar link to Calee.
- Calendars you connect this way are read-only in Calee: you see them in Calee, and you keep editing them in the app they came from.
- Calee calendars are the ones you create in Calee. Those you can add to and edit on your phone and on the display.
- If events are missing or out of date, check the change was saved in the original calendar, then give the connection time to pick it up. If it stays stale, contact Calee Support.
-
Calee mobile app
Using Calee as a Guest or signed in, reminders, permissions and general app troubleshooting.
- Guest lets you follow Calee calendar links that have been shared with you, without an account. One phone can follow up to five at a time.
- Signed in gives you Calee Home: Today, your calendars, tasks and — where your Calee includes them — chores and meals.
- Reminders are turned on at Settings → Calendar reminders. They are sent by this phone about ten minutes before an event, so allow notifications for Calee and open the app regularly.
- Not getting reminders? Check the switch is on, check notifications are allowed for Calee in your phone’s own settings, and open Calee so it can look ahead.
- Calee may ask for camera access when you scan a display QR code, scan event details, or take a photo to attach to an event.
- Calee asks for notifications so it can send reminders.
- If the app is misbehaving, update it from the App Store or Google Play. If you’re signed in, try signing out and back in.
Send feedback in the app is for telling us what you think of Calee. It is not a support request and may be anonymous, so if you need an answer, use the form on this page instead.
-
Tasks & chores
Task lists, chore lists, who a chore belongs to, and getting something back after you deleted it.
- Task lists and chore lists sit alongside your calendars. Manage them at Settings → Calendars and lists.
- Tasks and chores can be ticked off on your phone or on the display, and the other one catches up.
- Chores can be assigned to the people in your household. Add and edit them at Settings → People.
- Deleted something? Settings → Recently deleted restores deleted calendars, task lists, chore lists, tasks and chores.
- If what you are looking for is not in Recently deleted, contact Calee Support before you recreate it.
-
Meals & shopping
Planning the week’s meals, the shopping list, and the QR code that opens it on your phone.
- Where your Calee includes meals, you plan the week on the display or in the app.
- Building the grocery list is a step you choose, not something that happens on its own. After planning, use Build grocery list to create a shopping list from the meals you planned.
- In the app, both Build grocery list and Open shopping list are under Meals. On the display, Build grocery list sits beside the grocery list itself.
- On the display the shopping list is a read-only view by design. It is there to be seen from across the kitchen, not shopped from.
- To shop, use Open on phone on the display and scan the QR code. It opens the same list in the Calee app, where you can tick items off.
- QR code not opening? Install the Calee app on that phone and sign in first, then scan again. You can also open the list from Meals in the app without the code.
-
Account & sign-in
Signing in, passwords, your profile, and deleting your Calee account.
- Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? on the Calee app’s sign-in screen, or follow the reset steps in the Calendar Guide.
- If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact Calee Support.
- Your name, timezone and postcode live at Settings → Personal profile.
- Delete your Calee account: in the Calee app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and follow the instructions. If you cannot access your account or have trouble submitting a deletion request, contact Calee Support.
- If your Calee account was set up for you by a school, club or business, that organisation manages it. Ask them first, or contact Calee Support and we will help.
-
Orders, returns & display problems
Your order, delivery, a display that arrived damaged or does not work, returns and refunds.
- Questions about an order or a delivery? Contact Calee Support and include your order number.
- If your display arrives damaged, is missing parts, or does not work as it should, tell us what happened. Photos of the product and the packaging help us sort it out faster.
- Changing or cancelling an order, returns and refunds are covered by the Purchase Terms.
- The 3-month satisfaction guarantee covers you if Calee is simply not the right fit for your household.
- Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies if a product is faulty.
-
Business, schools & clubs
Organisation calendars, the people who can see them, organisation displays and day-to-day changes.
- Getting a calendar to your families, members or staff, and publishing or sharing it, is set up with Calee as part of your rollout.
- Adding or removing the people who can see or manage an organisation calendar is usually done by your Calee administrator. If you are not sure who that is, contact Calee Support.
- If you need to connect or change an organisation display, follow the onboarding instructions provided for your rollout, or contact Calee Support.
- If your organisation calendar stops syncing, contact Calee Support.
- For a new rollout, more displays, or a change to how your organisation uses Calee, start from your product page below.
